Growing up in the Karoo in the Eastern Cape, life was natural. That could well be where my love for natural fibres started.   I guess coming from a background of textile manufacturers helped the process on a bit. Just a bit. My father started a factory in the small town of Alicedale, specializing in the production of mohair. His mechanical abilities to design, construct and build machinery,  - together with mom's creative textile and design background was a winning recipe.

49 Years later, the factory supplies textile material to countries all over the world, including Switzerland, Germany, America, Dubhai, Finland and the Netherlands.

After I finished my studies in Stellenbosch, I headed off straigh to London where I somehow landed in commercial interiors. Soon after, I was working for a company specializing in textiles for commercial interiors. Its there where my knowledge on fibres grew, espeically working on larger commercial projects with stringent requirements.

On my return to South Africa after 3 and a half years, I started working for the family business full time. I really felt that I was called to come to Pretoria, after which I  opened an interior shop specializing in natural fibres in Duncan Yard.  I only sell South African produced products, made mainly in the Eastern Cape by hand. These include mohair carpets, mohair blankets, Mohair and bamboo socks, goose down products, Silk and mohair jerseys  and scarves as well as linen duvet sets and sheeting.
