Multi-Racial Records was formed in 1999 by a group of friends to follow their passion with the purpose of  making an entry into the music and entertainment industry through Dj’ing. Later this grew from only Dj services to include studio recording services, event organizing and supplying records to the target market. Starting as a home business the  company has in 10 years expanded into an urban music training institution and production house facility.

Having become a recognized brand in the music industry, Multi-Racial Records has also formed a subsidiary entity named Multi-Racial Productions, alleviating certain services the company offer such as music publishing, event organizing, record label, artist/Dj management, productions, etc.

To build the best platform for the local music market, Multi-Racial has created subsidary labels with some of the inhouse producers' labels such as Restless Swazi, Omwooyo Curaçao and Umlambo. These have been formed to create their own unique cataloque and to create a bigger platform for local producers.

Our products and services are exclusive and targeted to a niche market. We aim to supply the growing Dj market and respond to the demand for recording and audio services and premises in Pretoria. We provide training by introducing novices to the music and entertainment industry through Dj’ing and music production.

Multi-Racial Record’s Dj course has been endorsed by the SAMC (South Africa Music Conference), an internationally recognized dance music conference supported by the Department of Trade & Industry and through this has gained recognition as South Africa’s most comprehensive Dj course.

The company has established itself as a major role player in the South African house music industry, with a long list of projects and releases to add to its discography, which are local and internationally released.
